Alicia attended Central Michigan University where she graduated in 2004 with a Bachelor's degree in Recreational Therapy. She went on to earn her Doctorate of Physical Therapy graduate degree from Central Michigan University in 2007. Prior to joining Renue, she practiced in the Mid-Michigan area for 6 years where she gained valuable experiences within the spectrum of physical therapy including: acute hospital care, sports rehabilitation, orthopedics, neurologic rehabilitation and home health. She enjoys working with patients across the lifespan.
Alicia has also had the opportunity to serve as a clinical instructor to physical therapy and physical therapy assistants. Her focus is on orthopedic injury, surgery, and prevention, sports rehab and neurological rehabilitation. Other special interests include aquatic therapy. She has done additional continuing education on lymphedema and is currently seeking lymphedema certification. She resides in Midland with her family and enjoys staying active in her free time.
Kara attended Hope College where she graduated in 2004 with a Bachelor's degree in Kinesiology- Exercise Science. She went on to earn her Doctor of Physical Therapy graduate degree from Indiana University in 2007. Prior to joining Renue, she practiced in the greater Lansing area for almost eight years where she gained valuable experiences within the spectrum of physical therapy including: sub-acute rehabilitation focusing on cardiac, neuromuscular and musculoskeletal disorders.
She directed and assisted with the development of an aquatic therapy program focused on subacute rehabilitation. Kara strives to provide the best possible treatment for her patients through evidenced based practice.
Kara is a certified clinical instructor by the American Physical Therapy Association and enjoys teaching physical and occupational therapy students.
She currently resides in Midland with her husband Dr. Jeffrey Martindale and 2 children.
