Renue Physical Therapy – Freeland Announces Leadership Transition and New Managing Director
Freeland, MI — Renue Physical Therapy is pleased to announce an upcoming leadership transition at its Freeland clinic, marking an exciting next chapter for the location while reinforcing the organization’s continued commitment to high-quality, community-based care.

After more than a decade serving patients at Renue Physical Therapy – Freeland, Casey Sowinski, PT, DPT, will transition the majority of his clinical time to Renue Physical Therapy’s Bay City clinic beginning in March. Sowinski will continue in his role as Managing Partner and part owner of Renue Physical Therapy and will remain actively involved at the Freeland clinic, including treating patients one day per week during the transition period.
“Freeland has been home to me professionally for many years, and I’m incredibly proud of what we’ve built here,” said Sowinski. “This transition allows me to continue supporting Renue while ensuring that Freeland remains in excellent hands. I’m not stepping away, I’m staying involved and am fully confident in the leadership moving forward.”

As part of this transition, Diane Kirkbride, PT, DPT, will step into the role of Managing Director at Renue Physical Therapy – Freeland alongside Brenda Cramer, PTA and Patient Services Specialist Heather Johnson. Kirkbride brings more than 15 years of experience as a physical therapist in the area and is a longtime Freeland resident, offering both clinical expertise and a deep connection to the community.
“I’m honored to step into this role and continue the care patients know and trust at Renue Freeland,” said Kirkbride. “My focus is on building strong relationships with patients, supporting our team, and providing personalized, evidence-based care that helps people move and live better.”
Renue Physical Therapy leadership emphasized that this transition reflects stability and forward momentum for the Freeland clinic.
“Renue Freeland has a strong foundation, and this transition reflects our confidence in the team and our long-term commitment to the community,” said Tony Klapish, CEO of Renue Physical Therapy. “Casey’s continued involvement and Diane’s leadership ensure that patients will experience the same exceptional care and culture they’ve come to expect.”
Renue Physical Therapy – Freeland will continue operating without interruption, offering patients flexibility in their care, continuity in treatment philosophy, and access to the broader Renue network of clinics across the region.
